I had a response from the grand total of 5 people , I can only presume that the other 207 were so traumatised by the prospect of me going awol that they felt unable to tweet ?
Thankfully the 5 people would miss me , send out the sniffer dogs & kick my butt so I think that's a good thing !!
Also an interesting point was that 4 out of those 5 people do have an alternative means to contact me if I did happen to vanish from Twitter , either through Facebook , email or phone.
The one person who wouldn't be able to contact me is one of my favourite Tweeters and it actually made me quite sad that if he disappeared also from my timeline then I would have absolutely no way of knowing if he was okay and I don't think that any of our mutual friends would have any contact for him either . I would miss his little green face !!
I have 'alternative' means of contact for about 45 or 50 of my Twitter friends and if I haven't heard from any of them for a while I do enquire if they are okay but any one of the others could disappear completely and I would never ever know what happened to them.
I have met some of my Twitter friends in 'real life' and hope to meet more of them in the future and the ones I have met so far have turned out to be just a nice as I thought they would be , but even if I haven't met some of you , I really hope that we will be friends for a long time to come.
We share news , gossip and so many aspects of our lives with these people on a day to day basis but never get close to some of them and I think that's quite a shame so if you are planning on going off my timeline , please can you tell me first so I don't worry about you . xxx
