There’s a new phrase around these days ‘being ghosted’ basically it means when you have been in a relationship with someone for a while , often an intimate relationship and then they vanish into thin air , don’t reply to calls , messages , vanish from your social media ....as if they never existed , like a ghost

I might be being naive but isn’t that what was formally known as being dumped and ignored ? Does it need a new name ? Surely this has been going on since dating began ?
